The Area

Durness, situated in the far North West of Scotland, lies adjacent to the last great unspoilt wilderness area in Europe. Spectacular mountains straddle seemingly endless peat-based moorland which sweeps down to some of the most breathtakingly beautiful silver sand beaches in the world.
The area is a walker's paradise with routes for both the beginner and those in search of a challenge. Wildlife abounds with some of the UK's largest sea bird colonies and the highest mainland coastal cliffs.
